Bridgewater wins national prize for sustainability

On January 27, 2025, the Federation of Canadian Municipalities announced the winners of the 2024 Sustainable Communities Award, which rewards the best sustainable initiatives in Canada. Nova Scotia community and INMC member Bridgewater won the national award for climate change mitigation with Energize Bridgewater, a program for energy poverty reduction.

Bridgewater now stands as a beacon of commitment for the improvement of the community’s life and as a major actor in the transition towards a sustainable world. Bridgewater’s membership of the International Network of Michelin Cities is even more meaningful after this outstanding achievement in the fight against climate change.
