Join us in empowering the next generation of climate leaders!
From June 24 to 29, 2025, Clermont-Ferrand will host an international event initiated by the International Network of Michelin Cities (INMC) and the Europe Direct Center. Aimed at young adults aged 20 to 25, this project intends to transform eco-anxiety into a driving force for positive action.
An answer to eco-anxiety
Eco-anxiety is a growing feeling among young generations, who are worried about the climate crisis and the uncertain future of the planet. The “Eco-Anxious? We are not really strangers” project proposes to transform this anxiety into a driver for change instead of undergoing it. By bringing together young people from Europe and beyond, this event will grant them a platform for exchange and collaboration.
A rich and engaging program
For six days, participants will have the opportunity to explore, while taking part in immersive activities.
• Collaborative workshops: brainstorming on possible solutions to the climate emergency and writing an investigative article.
• Inspiring encounters: dialogs with experts from the Permanent Center for Environmental Initiatives in Auvergne (CPIE), the Europe Direct Center, the Fresque du Climat and a journalist.
• Exploring nature: visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Auvergne, including the Puy de Dôme, the emblematic summit of the 80-volcano chain in the region.
A collective impact
More than a simple meeting, this project aims to create a community of committed young people, and is set to continue its collaboration around a project that will expand, in preparation for the 5th Conference of the INMC in Cuneo in October 2026.
Thus, Clermont-Ferrand stands as a laboratory of ideas and actions, in which eco-anxiety is transformed into commitment. A not-to-be-missed event for all those who want to be part of it!
