Focus on Santiago de Querétaro:
Santiago de Querétaro, or simply Querétaro, is the capital of Querétaro de Arteaga State. Located 125 Miles North-West from Mexico city, it has over 700000 inhabitants and spreads on 363 square kilometers. The historic center of Querétaro is one of the city’s treasures. In 1996, it was named a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. The movement for independence was born within its beautiful alleys and streets, making it a crucial place for the country’s history. Moreover, Querétaro is home to 50 University and 40 Research centers. |
After Clermont-Ferrand (2017) and Vitoria-Gasteiz (2019), the City of Santiago de Querétaro in Mexico will welcome the next Conference of the International Network of Michelin Cities.
After an online vote organized during the summer 2019, 22 INMC members unanimously designated Santiago de Querétaro as host for the 2021 Conference.
A continental change is now certain for the next members and partners meeting, but the goal remains the same: foster links between the cities.
To pursue the work initiated during the two previous Conferences, the 3rd Conference will allow the members to develop collaborative projects, search new cooperations and create new connections.
The Conferences take place every 2 years and it is the highlight of the INMC’s life. They are open to the members (the cities) and also to their partners on their territories, in order to make public and private sectors cooperate together.
For Luis Bernardo Nava Guerrero, Mayor of Querétaro, the main theme will be innovation.
Congratulations to the Mexican city of our Network!
Save the date! Let’s meet in March 2022 in Querétaro, Mexico, for the 3rd Conference!
